OCHS, ROBERT "BOB" - Robert Ochs, "Bob" age 86, of Elizabeth Township, Tipp City, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Spring Meade Health Care Center after a brief illness.  He was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Bethel Township, Miami County, to Henry and Elizabeth (Welty) Ochs.  He was the former co-founder, CEO and President of Ochs Industries, Inc., formerly Ochs Tool & Die, Inc. in Vandalia.  He was a graduate of Elizabeth High School, Rotary Technical Institute at Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio, Western Business College in Springfield, and a journeyman tool & die maker taking his apprenticeship from Acme Pattern and Tool.  Ochs was a member of the Christian Life Center for 11 years, a youth sponsor at Zion Lutheran Church Tipp City and at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vandalia, and a member of many organizations.  Fellowship of Companies for Christ International, International Yokefollow Association, American Christian Education in Russia, International Wood Collectors, the Dayton and Cincinnati Woodcarvers Association and a member of the Elizabeth Township Historical Society in Miami County.  He was also a supporter of the Alliance Defense Fund and the Young American Foundation.  Ochs was preceded in death by his wife DeNyse (Denney) and his parents.  Surviving are his daughter Sharon and her husband John Maingi, Dayton; Donald H. and his wife Dianna Ochs, Tipp City; brother Henry Ochs, Jr., Dayton, and nine grandchildren: Jennifer Olt, Emily Carlile, Christina Ochs, Jeff Hahn; John, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Charles, and Isaac Maingi, and nine great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 29.  Burial followed at Ochland Farm, Tipp City.  Contributions may be made to Operation Rebirth, 1638 Apple Road, St. Paris, Ohio 43072.  Arrangements by Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City.
