WOLFE, RALPH M. - Ralph M. Wolfe, Jr., 77 of West Milton,
passed away Monday Sept. 8, at Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born Nov.
16, 1930, to his parents Ralph and Ruth Wolfe. He was preceded in death by
his loving wife of 46 years Janice Schwartz and his brother John Wolfe. He
is survived by his children Vicky & Phil Burnside, West Milton, Patsy & Tom
Haughton, Forest Park, GA., Doug Wolfe, West Milton, John & Lois Wolfe,
Union; Susan & John Wheelock, West Milton; five grandchildren Amy, Dione,
Tommy, Heather, Natasha; three great-grandchildren Hannah & T. J., Brittany;
sisters Aileen Brady, Pleasant Hill, Jean Carlton, San Diego, CA, Kathleen
Iddings, Cleveland; brother Dan & Dinah Wolfe, Frisco, TX. He is also
survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, including his lifelong friend
Jerry & Rena Coate, Pleasant Hill. He graduated from Newton High School and
served 4 years in the United States Air Force, 18th Fighter Bomber Wing
during the Korean War and worked for many years as a meat salesman at Dinner
Bell Foods, Troy. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 8211, West Milton,
belonged to the Korean War Veterans Assn.; Western Ohio Chapter, Eagles
3621, West Milton, and loved fishing, woodworking, and playing bingo. Thank
you to all of the doctors, nurses and aides on 9 North at the VA Medical
Center and a special thank you to Marcy (Dad's Chaplin). Funeral services
will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 11, at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home,
284 N. Miami St., West Milton. Interment will follow at Wheelock Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hale-Sarver. If
so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's
choice.
