HARTLEY, MIRIAM ROSE (WACKLER) -Miriam Rose (Wackler) Hartley, age 79 of Vandalia died Saturday at Miami Valley Hospital following a brief illness. Born Nov. 16, 1928 in Pleasant Hill, to Luther and Helen (Brant) Wackler. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul "Jim" Hartley in 1998, and brothers Ned and Eugene Wackler. Surviving are her daughters Karen and her husband Dan Weatherly, Vandalia; Pam and her husband Ron Sutton, Tipp City; Becky and her husband Tom Linger, Cincinnati. Brothers Nelson and his wife Pat Wackler, Troy; Norman and his wife Carolyn Wackler, Tipp City; and sister-in-law Joan Wackler, Pleasant Hill. Ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 West Main Street, Tipp City. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Friday at Frings and Bayliff.
