CASSELL, MARY S. - Mary S. Cassell, 81,
Greenville, died Aug. 8, 2008. She lived most of her life in Potsdam or
West Milton, but for the last 11 years had been a resident of the Brethren
Retirement Community in Greenville. She was a lifetime member of the
Potsdam Church of the Brethren. Cassell is survived by her husband, Jesse
J. Cassell of the BRC; children, Sonia K. Cassell (Sandy Sheets) of
Indianapolis, IN, Edwin R. Cassell of South Bend, IN, and Patricia S. Weaver
(Richard) of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren Mark L. Hinkle of San
Francisco, CA and Benjamin E. Hinkle (Emilie Woodbridge) of Tallahassee, FL;
and a large loving family Jane Cassell, North Manchester, IN, Don Cassel of
Greenville, Lois Evelyn Cassell Mergler of the BRC; Bernie and Alice Cassell
of Pitsburg, Norma Cassell Helstern of West Milton, and many nieces and
nephews. Services were held today, 2 p.m., at the Potsdam Church of the
Brethren on Friday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place on
Thursday evening at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home in West Milton from 4-8
p.m. and on Friday morning at the Potsdam Church of the Brethren from 10-11
a.m. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Phillipsburg. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Brethren Retirement Community Resident Aid
Fund or the Potsdam Church of the Brethren. The family extends a special
heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the entire staff of the Brethren
Retirement Community, Rosewood 4, for the loving care Mary received over the
past year.
