GUNTER, MARY G. - Mary G. Gunter, 63, of Seymour, Tenn.,
passed away, Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Baptist Hospital. Survivors include
brothers, William and Tram Kerns and E. Bruce and Robin Kerns; sisters,
Rebecca A. Drake and Eileen Brown; four step children; many step
grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and
great-nephews; and two beloved dogs, Sissy and Buddy. She also will be
missed by many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford
Gunter; father, Donald Kerns, mother, Grace Dever; and aunt and uncle, Edith
and Edward Fink. She was a retired elementary school teacher for 30 years
in West Milton. While in Ohio, she was a member of First United Church of
Christ, West Milton. After retirement, she moved to Seymour, Tenn. Funeral
services were held at Smith West Chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Yates
officiating. Interment followed at Grandview Cemetery. Smith Funeral &
