WHITEHAIR, JOSEPHINE BETTY (NEE: STEWART) - Josephine Betty Whitehair, age 82 of Tipp City passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, in her residence. She was born on Nov. 15, 1925 in Fairmont, West Virginia, the daughter Charles Lee & Delia Opal (Bock) Stewrd. She was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol during WWII and an avid bowler for many years. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Robert Whitehair, four sons, John Roland (Deb) Whitehair of Batesville, Ind., James Robert Whitehair of Tipp City, William Alan (Fiancee Paula Heeter) Whitehair of Tipp City, and Jeffery Lynn Whitehair of Troy; two daughters Kanen Jo DeHart of Troy and Kathy Lee (Mike) Gray of Tipp City, grandchildren Julia Whitehair, Jessica Whitehair, Tina DeHart-Williams, Tami DeHart-Kem, Mindy (Gray) Webster, Aaron Gray, Alia Gray, William R. Whitehair, and Kimberly Jo Whitehair, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles Stewart and George Stewart; a sister Madeline Berry and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 from 2-3 pm in the Jennings Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Josephine's memory to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
