OVERBAY, HENRY M. - Henry M. Overbay, age 87 of West Milton
passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at the Upper Valley Medical Center,
Troy. He was born Nov. 29, 1920 in Rogers, Ark. He was preceded in death
by his parents Jackson & Bertha (Gill) Overbay, brothers Harold & Charles
Overbay & Tom McKinney, sister Anne Overbay. He is survived by his loving
wife of 62 years Helen L. (Timmons) Overbay, sons & daughters-in-law Ronald
& Jackie Overbay, West Milton, Gary & Coleen Overbay, Troy, Charles & Lisa
Overbay, Greenville, daughter & son-in-law Kathryn & Tom Kinsey, Laura, 10
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. He served his country in the US Army
during WWII, was past president of Laura Lions Club, member of Potsdam
United Methodist Church, American Legion & Disabled American Veterans. He
retired from General Motors. Funeral services were held Aug. 25, 2008 at
the Potsdam United Methodist Church, 12 S. Main Street, Potsdam with Rev.
John Wiltshire officiating, burial followed at Riverside Cemetery, West
Milton. Military Honors will be held at the graveside. If so desired,
contributions may be made to the Laura Lions Club.
