HEFELFINGER, GENEVIEVE MAY (HART) - Genevieve May (Hart) Hefelfinger, 94, formerly of Frederick and West Milton, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare in Troy.  She was born March 18, 1914 in New Paris.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John Samuel and Mary Jane (Waymire) Hart; husband, Virgil Hefelfinger whom she married on September 30, 1930; infant son, Roger Lee; two brothers and one sister.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Virgil and Diane Hefelfinger of Troy; foster daughter, Judy O. Bailey of Dayton; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother, Leonard (Ruth) Hart of Englewood.  She worked at Frigidaire in 1948, Snell's Grocery in Frederick in 1949, Polk Grove Service Station from 1950 to 1954.  She and her husband purchased Snell's grocery in Frederick and ran it as Hefelfinger grocery from 1954 to 1969.  Upon retiring they moved to Union.  Genevieve was a member of the former West Milton Lioness, Sunshine Club and was a FISH volunteer, Polk Grove U.C.C., Daughters of American Revolution.  Funeral services were held Monday, April 7 at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home.  Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in Vandalia.  If so desired, contributions may be made to Polk Grove U.C.C.
