COMPTON, CAROLE (NEE: QUEEN)
- Carole Compton, 75, of
Potsdam died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton, She was born
May 7, 1933 in Kenton, Ohio. She was a 1951 graduate of Stivers High
School, was a charter member of Sunshine Gala Grandmother's Club and Troy
Lion's Club. She was preceded in death by her father James Queen, one
grandchild, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband
of 53 years Barry Compton Sr.; mother, Dorothy (Rogers) Queen of Brookville;
children, Don and Debbie Bailey of Huber Heights, Tonya and Mark Lee of
Piqua; Barry and Sheryl Compton Jr. of Bellbrook; Patti and Andy Scowden of
Wabash, Ind.,; Tim Compton of Ludlow Falls; Becky and John Hornbeck of
Springfield; Merry and Tony Granato of West Milton; Brenda Compton of
Jackson Heights, N.Y.; Dawn and Mark Willis of Hagerstown, Ind.; 21
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Deanna Hofacker of
Brookville and Nancy Mann of Beavercreek. Memorial services were held Sept.
24 at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, West Milton. The family would like to thank
Hospice of Dayton for their special care and concern. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, American Cancer Society or
the American Heart Association.
