WEBSTER, RICHARD "DEAN"
- Richard "Dean", age 62, died on
Tuesday, December 26, 2007 surrounded by his loving family after a
courageous battle with Mesothelioma, a cancer caused by asbestos. Webster
was a submariner in the United State Navy, serving from 1965 to 1973,
retiring from Delphi in 2003. Dean was raised in Tipp City graduating from
Tippecanoe High School in 1963. He received a B.A. from Mount St. Joseph's
College in 1988 and a Master's Degree in Environmental Management from the
University of Findlay in 1997. Dean enjoyed walking the beach with his
wife, fly-fishing with his sons, and his faithful dog Brutus-Buckeye
Webster. He will be lovingly and sadly missed by his wife, Karen (Eyink)
Webster, to whom he was married for 41 years, and his four sons and their
families: Todd and Barbara Webster and their children, Rachel, Elizabeth and
Connor; Trent and Carl Webster of Delaware, Ohio; Troy and Jaime Webster and
their daughter Claire of Dayton; and Tyler and Sara Webster and their
children, Emma and Andrew of Troy. He is survived by his mother Thelma
Webster of Tallahassee, Fla.; his sisters and their families, Karen
Sonnanstine of Fort Meyers, Fla.; Marilyn and Loren Harper of Tallahassee,
Fla.; Carolyn and Denver Crowell of Angel Fire, New Mexico; and Melinda
Webster of Tallahassee, Fla. He was preceded in death by his father,
William L. Webster. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 31,
2007 at St Patrick Catholic Church. Burial followed at Maple Hill Cemetery,
Tipp City. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami
County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373. Dean's favorite charity was St.
Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, envelopes
