GRUNDER, JOHN CHRISTOPHER - John Christopher Grunder, age 79 of Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006.  Born February 18, 1927 in Hillside, NJ, he earned his B.S. in Accounting from Rider College in Trenton, NJ.  He was a paratrooper in WW II, an FBI agent, and was the founder and president of Unity and Imperial Banks in the Dayton area.  He served as a township trustee in Huber Heights for 10 years.  After retiring from First National Bank in 1980 he moved to Florida where he continued his banking career and education.  In 1998 he graduated with his M.B.A. from Nova University.  John moved back to Dayton to share his knowledge as a professor at the Southwestern Business College.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson, Chad.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Grunder; 4 daughters Cynthia and Shawn Malaney, Kzi-iberly and Jerry Breneman, Deborah and Mike Werling, and Tammy and Jerry Wollett; one son, Christopher and Sophia Grunder; 15 grandchildren, Jesse, Jennifer, Daisy, Brooke, Melissa, Andrew, Luke, Mindy, Sarah, Phil, Nicholas, Molly Rose, Michelle, Max, and Michael; and 4 great-grandchildren, Madison, Julianna, Kyrah, and Colton.  Private services will be held in New Jersey.  Local Arrangements in care of Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home - Tipp City.
