REHMERT, CLETUS - The father of two Bethel Township
residents, Cletus Rehmert, 69, of 220 Kenbrook Avenue, Vandalia, died early
Friday, February 8, after a lengthy illness. Among his survivors are Mrs.
Virgie Edwards of 7960 Ross Road, one of his six daughters; and Marvin
Rehmert, 9610 S. State Route 202, one of his four sons. Mr. Rehmert was a
member of the Painter Creek Church of the Brethren in Darke County and a
retired farmer who had lived in Darke County for many years. Other
survivors include his wife, the former Mary Snyder; Mrs. Margaret Quick of
Vandalia, Mrs. Nancy Riewertz of New Carlisle, Mrs. Naomi Stonerock of
Brookville, Mrs. Arlene DuVall of Key Largo, Fla., and Mrs. Dorothy Mumma of
Dayton, his other daughters; Carl D., Donald and David, all of Dayton, his
other sons; two brothers, Eber and Orville, both of Greenville; and 25
grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Morton
Funeral Home in Vandalia with the Rev. Joe Baker officiating. Burial was in
the Brock Cemetery, north of Greenville.
