MESSENGER, EDITH STROUSE - Edith Strouse Messenger, 84,
former Tipp City resident, died December 4 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home,
Dalton, Ohio where she had been living for the past six years. The previous
nine years Mrs. Messenger resided in Tipp City with her son-in-law and
daughter Donald and Janice Belding. She was born in Brinkhaven, Ohio,
January 9, 1888, the daughter of George and Almeda Black Strouse. Her
husband John C. Messenger preceded her in death in 1954. Survivors besides
her daughter are a son, Robert, Orrville; five grandchildren, one
great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Zelma Shoemaker of Brinkhaven. She was
a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Orrville. Services were
held December 6 at the Gresser Funeral Home. Burial was in Crown Hill
Cemetery, Orrville.
